Job Title: Texas ACE Family Engagement Specialist (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Primary Purpose:
Design, coordinate, oversee, and direct programs to encourage family and parental involvement in the school and provide ongoing educational programs to immediate family members and parents/legal guardians of students enrolled in the Texas ACE Program as determined by the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Grant.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree required
Master’s degree preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to meet the needs of people from various social, educational, and economic backgrounds
Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines
Strong program, administrative and computer skills
Experience with decision-making in a highly collaborative environment and ability to build effective partnerships with all stakeholders
Experience:
Working knowledge of local youth/family services and organizations
Experience in family support, adult education and/or development of high-quality family programs
Background in education and/or social work preferred
